I watched a few episodes of the television series The Ozzie and Harriet Show and the family was definitely depicted as the perfect picture. They would face small dilemmas that were easily solved without conflict. The couple had two boys both who were polite young gentlemen but the eldest was starting to date and the youngest was beginning to listen to and play rock and roll. I only watched a few episodes but I imagine if I were to watch more they would probably cover why rock and roll was bad and if it was alright to date or not. The contrast of this show where things are easily solved was an extreme contrast to the fear and controversies that were happening during the 1950s. The episodes I watched on YouTube also still contained the original commercials selling things like toothpaste, cameras, and ovens. If you find that kind of thing interesting I would definitely check it out.
