Hello!
My Name is Robbie Pratt and I am a Senior here at the University of Mary Washington. I am from Lovettsville, VA (a small town by Leesburg). I am a History major with a minor in Business Administration. I am Devil (reigning champs!) so I plan on graduating May 2017. I am the youngest of three. My older brother is named Andy and my sister is Megan. Both have graduated from college and our starting their careers. Andy went to Virginia Tech and is now an Assistant Portfolio Manager. My sister, Megan, went to JMU and is now a teacher. I hope to enter the business world like my brother. I picked history because of my passion for it and the skill sets that it would teach me.
For fun I like to play a lot of Ultimate Frisbee. I am a current player for the club team here at Mary Wash and I play for Tyrannis during the summer. Tyrannis is a summer team that competes in tournaments all over the country. My other passion is to travel. I have been all over the world. Last summer I took a trip to the UK, more specifically Wales, to study Arthurian Literature with Dr. Rochelle. This trip was one of the best decisions I have made during my time here at UMW. I met a bunch of friends and learned all about the Welsh culture. I highly recommend traveling to Wales, it is the cooler than the rest of the UK by a long shot. I hope that you all enjoyed the bio and I look forward to reading yours as well.

Hi Robbie, my name is Jeffrey. I think it is really interesting that Frisbee has allowed you to go so many places, and meet so many people. What got you interested in playing that, as opposed to say hockey or something else? What are you planning on doing after you graduate from Mary Washington? I am also curious as to what makes Wales better than Scotland or England. I have not been to Europe (unless you count a few hours at a German airport), but I would have figured London to be the most appealing location to visit, especially for history majors.
Hi Robbie! It’s nice to meet you I am Shauna. I also enjoy traveling, but I have never been to Wales. I had a manager who was from there, and would always talk about how beautiful it was! Have you been to the annual Welsh festival downtown? It’s is a lot of fun, and you probably would enjoy it! Good luck with your last year at UMW!
Hi Robbie, that is really great that you have the opportunity to travel all over. What are some other places that you have been? Do you have a favorite place you have visited? Unfortunately I have not yet had the chance to travel overseas but I have not a little bit of road tripping. One day I would really like to have the chance to drive across the U.S.

I have to say, I’m a little jealous of you. I have always wanted to travel to Europe, but never was able to. I have been to Canada, twice. The first time was to Halifax, Nova Scotia, and the second time was to Ottawa. In response to your message to me, while I wasn’t born in Virginia, I was raised here. I grew up mostly in the Burke area, went to West Springfield H.S., then lived in McLean for a bit before moving out on my own.
Hi Robbie, I am Kierra. It is cool that you are a history major. I am an American Studies major so very similar. What is your favorite time period in history? I also find your interest in traveling awesome. I have a huge fear of planes (heights in general) that I hope to one day overcome. I have not left the east coast but i would love to visit Europe one day. I do plan to take a cruise to the Bahamas in August so I am excited yet nervous about that. I am a devil as well as the youngest child in my family!

I used to camp with my Boy Scout troop near Goose Creek on the way to Leesburg. Too bad the owners sold the land, it was really beautiful there. How did you become interested in frisbee and how long have you played for? I also love to travel as I hope to join the Foreign Service one day.
