I enjoyed your comparison of the various legislation relating to the G.I. Bill of Rights and your comments on how they bettered U.S. veterans. I found your analysis interesting and liked how you explain the circumstances of the original bill’s approval versus passage of subsequent, related legislation. The United States as a whole benefited tenfold from the G.I. Bill which assisted returning veterans in learning how to be strong leaders. Thus helping to build a talented workforce and modern economy. groundbreaking programs like NASA (G.I Bill video). The investment Congress made in education for veterans was rewarded through the resulting leadership of one of America’s brightest and most creative generations. I appreciate how you give background history of the G.I Bill and describe the intricate difficulties lawmakers encountered trying to get it approved. A point I found surprising was that later legislation, like the Veterans’ Readjustment Act, had a much easier time being enacted because the earlier Bill had pioneered and smoothed the way forward.
To strengthen your essay even further maybe look into making a comparison between the impact of the first G.I. Bill and if following Bills were able to maintain the same effectiveness. Did the subsequent legislation stay true to the original ideals of the G.I. Bill? I Pledge (Word Count 210)
