I really enjoyed reading your essay as you offer a great perspective on the music emerging from that era. Your argument is clear and clarified through your comparisons between the more traditional, old style of music and the fresh new types of music becoming popular with teenagers and youth of the time period. From your explanation I can see why these drastic changes in music and the culture surrounding it caused such a frenzy of worry from adults and parents.

Another point I also found interesting was your distinction of the physical movements and clothing choices of the performing artists. Additionally you argue the lyrical content and mood of the songs differ greatly. Your keen analysis of the conservative style versus the new style reveals that the true source of fear of Rock and Roll music was racially motivated. Racist whites were afraid of racial and class mixing with African-Americans and the culture that surrounded this wild out of control music.
