    Robbie,
I thought your analysis of Vietnam War protest was very thorough. I noticed that you mentioned that television broadcasts were showing pictures of what was happening in Vietnam. Throughout many of the readings, I could not stop thinking that maybe that was the reason why people were more against the Vietnam War than any of the others. It seems like television enabled people to visualize war as it truly was. Brown states that, “unlike previous wars, this one played out on television, with Americans seeing the horrors of battle beamed into their living rooms” (Brown, 17). I actually asked my mom if she remembered seeing the conflict at Kent State on television and she said that she remembered. She also remembered seeing images of the war in Vietnam. I think there may have still been outrage because of the draft, but I believe there would have been less if they would not have shown the images of war on television.
